Droping off the C5 to my installer to troubleshoot the rear view camera - reverse lights situation that I have.
o I have the Kenwood DNX9140 in my C5
o I believe I have a Boyo camera
o Installed camera to activate when in I put car in reverse
Works perfectly (except zero depth perception)
But for some reason it keeps blowing the reverse lights fuse. The fuse will last for a day or so and then blows. Dropping the car off at my installer this weekend to troubleshoot.

Any items on what he/we should be searching for?
Im guessing a bad coil in the relay is pulling too much current, or its directly powered off of the reverse light circuit...which would be retarded if it was installed that way.

Any recommendation to power if in fact the installer did power the retarded way?
IMO you really shouldnt need a relay but if it keeps blowing fuse I would have him put a relay in and check for shorts
I agree.. I would add a relay just to protect the circuit if you are blowing fuses. Its also possible that there is an intermittant short in the boyo cable.
