8 in sub question?

8 in sub question?
Has any 1 here installed 8 inch subs in the door panels ? I thought about using shallow mount subs and trying this and jus like to know if it has been done before i buy the subs ..

have done it with shallow 8s, and once with a non shallow 8 but its hard to find something that will actually fit, this was in a C6. In a C5 Im pretty sure you dont even need a slim 8 to fit, a lot of standard 8s will fit if i recall correctly

I have 8" midranges in my doors and the doors just simply can't handle them. They are heavily deadened but the resonance is insane. Subs would be even more difficult I think.

you kno it really depends on what you are going for. Personally I would do a sub in rear cubby. if you dont want to loose the entire cubby i have a box for a slim 10 and an 8 laying in my garage that will fit in bottom of c5 cubby that i woudl let go very cheap
