Factory Stereo Upgrade?
I posted this in the C4 section first and was advise I'd better get an answer over here. Duh!
I'm looking at a '96 with an aftermarket AM/FM/CD. Its not the best unit and pretty cheezy looking. The car wasn't ordered with the Delco Bose Gold cassette CD but would it be feasible to retrofit? I'm assuming the aftermarket piece was installed without gooning up the factory wiring since almost everybody uses the factory wiring kits, but can a Gold go where there wasn't one before?
I know, I know... There are better stereo units out there, but I've heard the Bose Gold and I'm OK with it. Besides, I'm not hot on the adapter plate look with a DIN radio.
