I'm toying with the idea of installing a Pioneer AVIC-X920BT in my C5Z and thought I'd ask if anyone has done a similar install and has any opinions on the unit?

I have a 920 in my C6 right now, upgraded it last September from a D3 I had in there for almost two years.

I love the ipod interface, the 920 is MUCH better than the D3 was.

DSP and EQ effects are great, you can tweek the sounds all day long until you get it perfect.

Nav is great also IMO, many say Kenwood is better, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with the Pioneer units. If you have an iphone, they finally got the AVIC Feeds app working, so you can find your destination on your phone before getting in the car, then once it syncs up the 920 can get the destination from your phone. The app uses google maps, so you can search with text, gps, drop a pin, you name it.... Once in the car just push a few buttons and it calculates the directions, it's tons easier than searching on the HU.

IMO, AVIC x920BT =

I just had an Avic Z130BT installed a couple of weeks ago. I had front and rear cameras installed with it. The Bluetooth works incredible with my iphone 4. The Nav can find my house, opposed to the OEM sending me through the woods in my back yard. Overall, I am very happy with this unit.

I have the 920 installed in my Vette and love it, No issues at all, I bought it from Dennis at doubledmods, The NAV has never failed me, About the only tricky thing is the placement of the hands free mic, I have Sat radio, Itouch and all works great.

Sounds like all great opinions, thanks everyone! Pics look great too I'll definitely have to go with Double D on the modded bezel.

I just got my 920bt the other day I have spent more time messing with it instead of installing it. It has so many featutes that are coool I keep hooking up power and what not and go throough everything for awhile then realize I'm out of time to install it. DD mods it where I got mine and the bezel. This week for sure I will install it. Where are you guys placing the mics so that the wire isn't showing?

On my C6 with the Z110 I put the mike right above where your right knee is its in the seam between the center console and the dash, looks great and can hardly be noticed.
