Default C5Z - Carpet access question

Trying to install a GM-X10 or what ever its called, so I can connect my Zune. Found the 4 pin connector, think the 3 pin is taped to another cable under the front part of the passenger side carpet. How do I gain access to that? Did not see any details in the FAQ, and I don't want to break anything!

Thanks

There's a good chance the missing plug is taped to a wire run that goes up the side wall between the fuse box and door hinge. To get the plastic off start by pulling straight up on the rear edge of the sill piece until it's at about 30* (you'll pop out a few friction clips that may not want to come loose for the first time). Once it's at the 30* angle, pull it straight back towards the rear of the car and it should come out. Pay attention to how the pieces are layered together now so you can reinstall it properly. With that sill piece out the carpet just peels away from the wall.
