Pioneer 930 memory options
Anyway, I have an Ipod touch that I have been connecting to the 930 but I am thinking of going with one of the other memory options so I can just leave the memory in the car and not tie up my Ipod. From what I have read I have two memory options, a USB memory stick plugged into part of the Ipod cable, or a Micro SD card in the front of the HU. Is there any advantage to either? Any difference at all as far as usability or playability? I know that music will play from the USB because I have a small one and I was able to test it. I don't have a micro SD so I haven't been able to test it yet. I have read some about file structure limitations with the HU, only 220 folders or some number like that. I will be copying music from my Itunes library onto whichever option I choose and I have about 25 GB of music. So if I do end up using one of these memory options instead of the Ipod I will have to get creative on the file structure, right? If I have more than 220 artists (or whatever the folder limit is) I will just have to dump songs into a general folder? Do you lose the ability to pull up music by artist when you do this? Sorry for all the scattered questions. I just think it would be really nice to get in the car and go and not have to plug in an Ipod. Plus the memory stick could be put out of sight easily whereas my Ipod cuts off if I put it in the console due to heat and I don't want to have to fish it out of the glove every time.
