issues with ASWC install
Here is the email I sent to Metra asking for help:
I am having issues programming an ASWC in a 2008 Corvette, using a Kenwood DDX419 radio.
I have verified I am wired as described in attached doc.
I can get the ASWC programmed, but I get erratic behavior. Sometimes the volume up and down buttons on the steering wheel run the radio to max or min volume with only one or two presses of the steering wheel buttons. Also, the seek buttons will skip tracks sometimes, other times they will trigger the fast forward function on the radio.
The production date (sticker) on the ASWC module is 9/17/12 (a month old).
I have called in a few times for suggestions and this is what has been tried so far:
Run new ground to chassis.
Tap signal wire from car before OEM connector.
Program manually
Program automatically
Re-map button functions
Insert 12K resistor in-line for programming
Does anyone have any ideas?
Here is the link to the wiring instructions that I am using.

I have the file from Kenwood on how to program the ASWC
The SWI RC is the best option to use with KEnwood
Whoever you bought this from should have told you the SWI RC is a better match with KEnwood than the ASWC as the ASWC reads the KEnwood as JVC as well as the Pac Audio harness is better for you to use thann the gmoso4 on your 08
