JVC double din installed then the problems...
bought the radio and Bose harness only, no extra steering wheel controls because well it was a little over the budget. well I finally get it installed at the shop here by Fort Knox ky who also installed my tint. problems I had was....
1.with the radio or Bluetooth streaming pandora the radio would just restart.
2. tried makin a call with the Bluetooth and the person couldn't hear me until I switched back to iPhone but I could hear them threw the speakers.
3. I can no longer hear any beeps you usually hear when you push the TC button or lock switch
4. the speakers distort with the volume all the way up and sound has less oomph than the original non-nav radio. I assume day he speakers would be more clear with a little more bass but it just seems like there is less bass than before.
they are looking it over now and I know I paid for a Bose adapter, they know it has Bose, I said I wanted it all to work the same I just bought the radio for Bluetooth to listen to pandora. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? I've been sitting here for an hour already as they are going through everything again I just have a feeling it's not gonna turn out well... just if anyone has any input besides do it yourself next time and pay for a pro because trust me I wouldn't if I didn't think they were capable of doing it right?
3 - not all brands of interface adapters will play ALL original sounds, I know Scosche will be missing the ones you noticed, and I know PAC will play them all
4 - depends on which interface adapter was used and how it is connected - if using line-level RCA's direct to oem wires then not much can be done except adding an in-line volume control like this one, and that might not help much, the problem is that the oem amp doesn't have any gain adjustments on it (designed for oem HU inputs only) - if interface uses speaker level inputs then converts them to line level outputs for car, then interface pots need to be adjusted better/properly
It sounds good, I was Just expecting pandora to sound better because it usually does, like listening to a cd versus a radio station with so-so signal.
I guess next is a small sub to make up for the lack of bass, maybe in another 6 months I'll get the chubby sub encloser and a really nice 10".
Thanks
