C4 -Stereo Interference
1984 Model.
Put in an aftermarket stereo and speakers.... all new wiring to speakers. Also, deleted the antenna mast and used an amplified antenna.
Stereo works great - radio and AUX- Ipod when car is NOT started. Sound is crisp and clear. When I start the car I get interference.... it's constant on radio or aux. Not a whinning noise.... more static like.
Any ideas?

You could try one of THESE on the B+ line going to the HU.
And/or one (or 2) of THESE if you're using the RCA outputs to an amp. You don't need this if using the HU internal amp (just get the power filter).
The power filter doesn't affect the audio quality at all, so try that first. The GLI does affect it some, but most systems aren't high enough quality to hear it.
