Default What To Do First

C6 Base - I'm putting in a new Carplay head unit, component 6.5's, coax 5.25s, amp, sub, and back up cam. Is there an easiest order in which to complete the tasks? (ie head unit first, then door speakers, rear speakers, amp, sub, back up cam)

I'm not sure there is a right answer to this. Much depends on where your amp will be located and what paths you plan to use to run the wires. You could install your speakers, amp, and sub first and run the wires to the amp location and basically save your head unit for last. But like I said, there is no right or wrong answer.

You'll want to run everything to where the head units going to be prior to installing the head unit, that way you don't have to pull the head unit back out to hook things up.

I would gut the interior first, remove door panels, and then dash so you have access to everything. Then you need to run all the wiring whether it be speaker wires, rca cables, and power leads. Once you get all of that in place, install and hook up rear and front speakers and test with a 1.5V battery to make sure they are working and to double check polarity. Then mount your amp and get everything run and hooked up. The last step would be to wire up head unit but don't install it yet. Power up and test EVERYTHING to make sure everything works, then go ahead and finish installation of head unit. With it installed, double check operation again to make sure something didn't come unhooked and then start putting the car back together. Easy as pie!
