Dash cam with datalogger?
I was looking for a dashcam that I also use to watch my track performance and improve.
The Waylens seems to fill that need, however, it looks rather expensive (700+ CAD).
So, what I am looking for is an actual dash cam that is permanently installed in the car, and some way to conveniently add datalogging without having to pull a computer out and attach a separate file to it (plus messing with synchronisation and such).
The camera does not need to have a display on it, and I do not mind using a cellphone to synchronise datalogging/video, but I want a standalone setup for recording non track usage.
Anyone is familiar with such a product?

This one has it, but at 700$, its not a cheap solution.
Many folks use a smartphone running an app like Harry's Lap Timer to record video overlayed with GPS locations and OBD data acquired via ELM327. A permanent version of that approach could employ an Android head unit with video input ("DVR function") from a camera mounted wherever.
I have not tried that, as RaceRender makes it easy enough to add overlays of logged data (Torque, TrackAddict, etc.) to video recorded on a standard dashcam as demonstrated in this post (of my first attempt).
