I just installed my STEG ST650C 6.5 in my door's on my 2006 vert and they seem to sound good but will be doing more tweaking..
But my big question is i'm running passive and the crossover's have the db level in them for the tweets as normal , But there is also a db level for the mid's to.. And i currently left it where it was @ -6 db .
So i asked Fred & Sound and he said leave it at - 6 , but then as i look around on youtube he tell's other member 0 , and then another member -12 ...????????????????????????????.
Can anyone explain this db setting in the crossover for the mid's ?....
As fred & Sound on YouTube sounds like he just wings it on his responses to this question when asked by me and other's..

Leave it at 0 and use the crossover in the HU to adjust (if possible). The adjustability of the crossover is used to dial back the "brightness" of the tweeter. If you have it set at "0" and it sounds fine to you...leave them at 0. If your HU doesn't have the ability to adjust freq output, then use the passive to get the sound you want.

Im running passive and the crossovers that came with the STEG have a db setting for tweet like other brands,,and they seem to sound good @ the 0 setting...
But there was also db setting for midwoofer for which i have never seen in crossovers that come with the (components).....
So i asked Fred & Sound again and they said leave the midwoofer db setting @ -6
So then i contacted GT-Trading with email and told them im running passive with their Twister Amp, and they also said leave the crossover alone and leave it at the -6 db like the way it was shipped...
Was just a little confusing as i've never seen a db setting for the mid woofer's in the crossover's that came with the speaker's..

Ahh...I get what you're saying now. The only other X-overs like that I've seen are on Utopia's. High end stuff for sure. I'm almost regretting the fact I didn't buy a set of those STEGs myself.
I'm all for playing with stuff until they suit my tastes. I say play with them until YOU like the sound produced. As long as they're amp'd, you wont hurt them. Turn em up and see how you like the sound.

I just wished Fred & Sound and also GT-Trading would explain to me the reason they said leave it alone and leave the mid woofer at -6db
Maybe its just the design and whats in the crossover's and -6db is the normal setting if passive..??????????.
