I'm probably going to leave the partition out to allow me to move the box where I need it.

Once I have some more time, I'll be trying another style of box and I may even end up with 2 subs....But for now, this one is good.

I have a few other projects to do on the car as well.....
New seat skins from ridies
Afterburner tail lights (diode dynamics)
New wheels

Baby steps
Have you done anymore work to your sub box ?

Still using the original one i Built. It sounds awesome and very impressive for a single 10". When top is folded away, it slides away nicely and leaves ALL available trunk space. I'm planning to add a second 10" later this year and will still fit in "hidden" space with top down and not eliminate trunk space for storage. Only mod needed is removal of divider that hides top in trunk (very simple)

Well, I finally had the opportunity to finish the dual 10" box. Takes little more space than I wanted , bu works and doesn't interfere with folded top.
Its slightly under rrecommendedair space (.5 cu ft for each). Now I have to finish the front side of system.

Currently in front:
Stock bose door subs & JL c2-350x...both powered by stock Bose am5

Replacing with:
8" mid drivers & JL c2-350x w/ c2 component x-over .... all powered by arc audio mini 125.2

Rear remains same:
C2-650 components
(2) JL 10tw3-d4 subs
All powered with arc audio ks125.4 mini

sounds great , it needs just a bit more up front ..... at lower volume its more of a rear stage. Hight volume is better. Can feel and hear bass cruising with top down

So is your top a manual or power top ? Your subwoofer build inspired me to attempt my own, if you're interested, you can read about it here. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...subwoofer.html Mine's a manual top so I'm not sure yet if it'll work with the power top, it works great in my car though.

I would possibly be interested in one of these boxes. But i'm thinking the shipping would be up there.

ok..... so after "finishing" the system and deciding to add a second sub, quickly realized that the single amp setup was not going to cut it. I should have known better from my experience of many years ago LOL

ORIGINAL SETUP:
DOORS:
- JL c2-350x(factory bose amp)
- Bose 10" subs (each have own factory amp)

REAR:
- JL C2 650 component set
- using 2 channels of audio arc ks125.4

SUBWOOFER:
- (2) JL 10tw-d4 subs
- using 2 channels of audio arc ks125.4 (bridged)

NEW SETUP:
Doors:
- JL c2-350x + 8" sub w/ JL x-over as component set
- using 2 channels of arc audio ks125.4

Rear:
- JL C2 650 component set w/ JL x-over
- using 2 channels of audio arc ks125.4

SUBWOOFER:
- (2) JL 10tw-d4 subs
- (2) Audiocontrol 1.300 ACM

Have everything installed except for the sub amps - getting 8ga wire and RCA splitters. Will mount in passenger floor where factory bose amp was.

Just changing the door woofers and putting the doors on audio arc amp made HUGE improvement!!! I can't wait to see the sound it makes with two 10"s in the back w/ 300w to each!

The woofers in the door are mounted on a 5/8 MDF ring. this allowed me the clearance for the magnet. Passenger side barely lightly hits when bracket passes 3/4 of way down.... but not enough to worry about. I closed off the large opening with 1/2" thick ABS plastic and applied KILLMAT to the back side of it. The driver side door pannel rattles against door by the handle so I need to figure out how to get rid of that.... but the bass is great so far even without subs in back.

Also did a homemade "big 3" upgrade AND changed battery terminals. I may end up having to get a bigger alternator......
