I’m looking to replace a 4-channel JL amp in my C6 with a new amp and shopping around online and I’m interested in the Hertz Mille power four amp. Does anyone have this amp in their car and care to offer an opinion? Thanks https://www.hertzaudiovideo.com/car-...iers-mlpower4/
What 4 channel do you have? What is it "not" doing for you?
it’s a JL 450/4v2. It served well for about 8 years but it’s starting to show it’s age. Besides being an AB amp which gets very hot and draws a lot of juice it’s cutting power back. Time for a change to a D amp. The JL will be going to a family member for the remainder of its life.
Also curious why the change "from" JL? Is it time just for something different? Their amps are very tough to beat performance wise. All of their amps are Class D now-a-days.

I do like JL and have the 450/4 and just got rid of my 300/2 driving my sub, amp croaked.
The only current JL that’s in the power range and class D I would take is the HD600. It’s $950. The Hertz is a couple hundred less and they also have stellar reps. Recently had to rebuild my transmission and related parts so trying to save some cash. Still might go with the JL.
The HD series is a TON of amp. Only bested by the VXi line (which I run). How much power are you looking for? What specifics? Channel requirements? Active or passive? Multiple amps or just one? A description of what you're looking for would be very helpful with amp recommendation.
I ran Hertz in one of my trucks. Subs, 5 channel amp, mids and tweets were all Hertz. It sounded great. I had no trouble with it at all. It's a bit more exotic than JL and if you are looking for cache when talking about your stereo components, go for it.
By comparison, I have a JL system in one car, and it hits as hard or harder than the Hertz. Have never had a problem. I'm planning to put a stereo in my Corvette, and will run JL.
