Default Kenwood DDX774BH Issue

I am having an issue while trying to load custom images on my Kenwood DDX774.I have followed everything in the manual including pixel size and file type.Loaded them on a usb drive but when I try to load them it says unsupported file.Every so often it will display one of my saved images for just a few seconds and then goes back to unsupported file.Has anyone else had this happen or know what I am doing wrong?Any help is appreciated as I am about to give up before I go crazy.TIA

I read that earlier.I am pretty sure that it only changes the startup screen and not the background.I was able to save one image to background as a jpeg file but it was too small to fill the screen.I even zoomed and cropped but still couldn't get it.I then realized my image was saved too small so I set the pixel size to what Kenwood said it should be and I haven't had any luck after that.I will search more on the links and see if I can get it figured out. Thanks for the reply!

They are all super sensitive to size. I've noticed that half the images I tried wouldn't work just due to the size of the pic being loaded. File size matters too. Given i run a Pioneer...but the process is the same. Just got to keep playing with it until you get one you like that works.

Been playing with the image sizes.I can get a few of them to load but none that are big enough to fill the screen.Gonna keep trying to see what I can figure out.Not much else to do right now.
