Default Head unit for a 2006 C6

Guys,
I started a thread on the C6 Tech/Perf Forum that probably belongs here.

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...head-unit.html

Last week I bought an '06 that has a single DIN Boss head unit that I want to replace with something with better aesthetics and gives me at a minimum Bluetooth and AUX Input capabilities. One suggestion was to buy an OEM unit and add Bluetooth and AUX which sounds good but now that I look at the units available on Ebay I don't see an AUX in port either in the front or back. Does anyone know anything about that?

I am considering putting in a full screen double DIN unit as well. This is what is currently in the car

The OEM nav unit in my 2007 does not have an Aux port. I'm getting ready to replace it and have narrowed my choices down to the Pioneer 4660: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_130DMW....html?tp=72357

There were OEM head units with alphanumeric LCDs and lots of buttons, and OEM head units with touch screens. All OEM head units were double-DIN.

If you're attached to the look-and-feel of the OEM LCD + buttons head units, go to www.kawal.net to find out more about your AUX input options. I believe you will need a Tech 2 or the like to unlock any used OEM radio to work with your car.

If on the other hand you're considering a touch screen style head unit, forget about OEM. They're totally outclassed by what's available in the aftermarket.

Get that Pioneer or something similar. Add a backup camera while you're at it. The C6 oem audio is very outdated, even when it was new.

Yes, looks like I am headed in that direction...
