I have been through alot of the postings. Alot of the info is over my head. I want to add a cd player to a 1984 C4 as cheap and easy as possible. I plane on keeping the Bose/cassette in the car. What do I need to buy and how do I decide where to mount one? I think you will recomend a cd Stacker? Any help please..thanks...Jim
your best bet is a CD changer that uses RF to interface with the FM tuner.
That will work...
all you will need are some GM antenna adaptors... I think... I guess... I have never done this on a Vette of that vintage.
Alpine, Sony, Pioneer, et.al, make CD changers that have RF modulators. You just need to tune to 87.7 to get it to work... the install is not that bad, but I don't know where your gonna put the changer and make it look ok.
:iagree: You will need to get power, ground, ignition, and the antenna wire. you can get the antenna wire from where it comes through the body in the cargo area. There should be a plug there.
