Kicker

I know kicker isn’t the best but I’m having Best Buy put in the trtp 12” with a kicker 500 watt amp just curious if anyone has this and how does it sound

Kicker sure ain't the worst, I've used their equipment over many years, and it's always held up very well.

Kicker is a solid brand. Their products aren't going to win you Sq competitions, but there are FAR worse options to go with. The kicker boxes with the passive radiators put out a solid amount of bass for their size and wattage. Unless you're looking for amazing Sq I think you'll be happy.

Having best buy do the install on the other hand...

Where are you located? I could possibly recommend some shops (or if you're near me i could do it lol). I don't have anything against best buy, I used to work for them as a tech. But I've seen how they train their guys. And honestly they fired most of their experienced installers after covid to save money, so ymmv on the quality of the install.
