I thought I would share what I did to improve my 2010 ZR1. The stock Bose system is not great at all so I changed out all the speakers and added a 10” Alpine subwoofer using the sub thump box designed for the C6 and a Kenwood Amp.
I also installed a new head unit - Sony XAV-AX4000 and a rear view camera.
What an amazing transformation! I now have wireless Apple CarPlay and it works amazing. The stereo sounds so much better, hard to describe.
I love it.
the Sub Thumb sub box works great for the ZR1 and still leaves a lot of trunk space as well as space behind the seats. The CORVETTE lettering is a nice touch.
oh, I also bought the ProClip mount for my phone with the wireless charging option - mount works awesome but does block the one cup holder slot - although I found the twin cup holders isn’t really wide enough to hold 2 drinks so o can still put one in there and it is fine.
C6 stereo upgrades
Looks good dude, you could move the Pro Clip mount up a little higher and that would probably allow you to use the cup holder again.
