Hello everyone, I have a 2006 Zo6 that has an issue with its OEM BOSE system. Radio comes on but no sound will come from any station. The AMP fuse is fine. I checked all fuses just in case and all passed. I removed the amp and plugged it back in (yes I know but was worth a shot) that didn’t work. I am kinda stumped. Do I need a new amp?
The earlier C6's, like your 2006, the door woofers have their own separate built in amp. Not sure this helps, but I would think that you would still get some sound even if the other amp went bad. Hopefully someone else can chime in and be more helpful.

it does not appear so. Only slight beeping noises when selecting radio stations.
The OEM system generates chimes and beeps within the head unit. They go through the amp to the speakers just like other audio signals. If you hear beeps when you press the traction control or DIC buttons, that much of the system is working.
You can try picking up a used amp off ebay or the forums for sale section to try and trouble shoot it with parts. If that doesn't work, it may be a good time to upgrade the head unit.

I installed a new amp and still having the same issue. Tried putting a CD in the head unit to see if maybe it’s the antenna but it won’t even accept the cd. Will not suck the CD in.

Trouble shooting can be a pain in the @. Do you think it could be a bad head unit? If so you can pick up a used one but you would need to get it unlocked by a dealership or garage. Or you could go with an aftermarket unit. Many of us, including myself, were never happy with the oem head unit.

I ordered a new aftermarket head unit online and will install it and see what happens
Just wanted to give an update. I have a new aftermarket head unit and everything, went to install it, and I was sent the incorrect pac wiring harness. Soooo I put it all back together and guess what? I got chimes and the radio worked!! You can imagine how happy I was. Thennnnn this morning was leaving to go get coffee. No chimes. No music. Lol.
So, the PCBs in C5 electronics look like something out of 1970s High School electronics shop. They are prone to cold/broken solder joints. (see HVAC bright/dim fix threads). Sounds like your wires are good. If you want to keep the OEM H/U, you could try finding a used one and see what happens...
