Re: neon (pdd000)
Just run power and ground straight to the battery. To wire your switch you will have to go through the firewall though.
It will help to get aftermarket battery terminal mounts to start wiring up all this new aftermarket electronics you are putting in the car. It will be much more efficient, easier and cleaner if you do.

Re: neon (oblivia)
i would defenitly run a switch in a good spot because you don't want the neons on all the time at night either.... :smash:
:yesnod: Right, like I was saying, you have a switch inside to turn them on and off with. Since the neon's are in the engine compartment there is no need to tap into any other power wires. Simply run power and ground directly to the battery. The switch inside will control when the neon's are on and off by the flip of a toggle or rocker.
:iagree: If you absolutely have to make this "mod" then make sure the power lead is FUSED.
I don't know why everyone seems to forget this most important point for any additional electrical mod that is done. Not like you can ASSUME that most will do this...........make sure its fused

The neon kit comes with a fused power wire. If he's able to read instructions and hook it up them He should be ok.
If you have a C5, wire the hot wire to circuit #6 and you can control the neons with your factory foglight switch. That is how I have mine. Ground to any place on the chassis.
Yah, in most states red and blue are the big no no colors...
In illinois, all neon's are illegal....I was pulled over in my old explorer and they said that the purple lights were reserved for an ambulance??? He didn't give me a ticket when i called him on it though (he still could have of course because they all are illegal).
So, in your guy's opinions....would white or blue look better in the grill???
