I want to mount my amplifier to an HDPE board and then somehow mount it to the back hatch wall in the corner. Initially I wanted the board under the carpeting to keep it looking as OEM as possible but not sure if that's possible. My main concern is how to securely put the amp against the hatch wall without physically drilling into the body and making it secure.
My other option then is the hatch floor rear corner passenger side. I don't want the amplifier near the storage bins. Any suggestions would be great!
As asked, what car do you have? What amp are you mounting? You don’t want to drill anything into the “hatch wall”, you’ll end up going into the gas tank. I would suggest either attaching the wood to the “hatch wall” using some VHB double sided tape, which when applied properly hold really well, you can find this tape at ACE hardware, but chances are with it behind the carpet, the carpet itself would hold it just fine.
