Default Reflection on C5 stereo install

...I used the OEM headunit and tapped the signal off of it. I spent $0 on the system as all the components were taken out of my old car. I'll put pics up later. Im running front speakers only now, I thought about adding the rears but I think it sounds fine the way it is, so I might skip the rears.

The good parts:
Easy integration with the OEM system
The C5 has plenty of flat panels for easy mounting of amps/electronics/crossovers
The doors have plenty of room for different speaker options
Doors have plenty of flat spaces
The bose was easy to dissassemble (door pods just unplugged and came out as 1 piece)
Wires were easy to run (carpeting in many pieces, easy access to run speaker wire to doors)
Top removed for more space to work
No worry about the power wires grounding out as there arent many grounds in the car
No extrenuous alternator whine

The pain in the butt:
I had to fabricate my own mounts of the speakers in the doors
GROUNDING THE REAR AMP
My 2 18" woofers hit too hard so it makes the OEM cd changer skip

I had that problem too with the Alpine changer, put it in one of the side compartments and it solved the problem.

I did this today and indeed it worked. Its a little harder to get to cause of my box. Right now I just balled up the changer in a buncha towels and stuffed it in there. I will come up with a more permanent solution later. I'm thinking of suspending the CD changer by springs to further give it shock resistance.

I dunno how long I'm gonna keep the 2 18s in there though. They are very loud and its gonna take a toll on my hearing. Not only that the car is slower and handles worse.

Oh yeah

Been there tried that. :U Make sure the springs are wel supported (in the suspension state) so as to not inflict more vibration on the lazer pickup.
