CD changer problems
Dahhh, this is a tech question, and a bitch of one too!
Anyway:
My '99 vert has a factory cd changer harness installed. All this mess of wires
runs from the very back of the car, picking up a lot of other curcuits, winding it's way under the right side seat belt , along the inside of the rocker panel,
with one 4 wire plug (CD changer/Radio communication, I assume) that plugs into a connector at the lower right of the fuse panel. With the main wad of wires going into the back of the fuse panel.
I was offered a like new pioneer 12 disk changer, (looks identical to the delco), out of a '00 cadillac.
First thing i did was research the wiring of the 3 and 4 wire connections by the passenger side fuse box. Both are connected and look fine.
Plugged the changer into the harness in the trunk and the power end of the deal seems okay because the changer will eject, search for cd's, but craps the bed on the radio end of the deal. Once I hit CD/Aux, it pops up the cd l.e.d. and finally gives me me a ERR message.
Yes, I put 2 CD's in the magazine face down.
Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, one reason your Pioneer unit looks just like the C5 OEM unit is because Pioneer makes the units used in C-5's.
Robert :)
