Yep, you're right - I assumed that the install was in a C5. Looking a bit closer at the picture, it's obvious that it's not. Thx for the pictures anyway.

It's not a terrible mistake if you are just glancing past. That three-dial setup looks almost exactly like the base climate control panel for a C5. Looks a lot like what's in my '99 - except no buttons underneath.
Good ergonomic design eventually gets around...even to GM.

I have the 7998, too! GREAT unit!
However, I find the x-over to be a real pain in the ****...
But the clearity and power of the outs is nothing short of incredable.
It get's so loud, I cannot listen to it anymore, but - and you are SO right - ZERO DISTORTION.
This is mine, in my 92 coupe. Not a bad fit, eh?
If someone want's the ultimate extreme head, this is it.

i love the ability to LOWER the output on the fronts. i lowered mine 12db, then cranked the volume so the highs werent painfully loud... yet the sub out was on full blast. Now THAT is bass heavy
