help with connecting MP3 player
I am one of the unfortunate few that does not seem to have the elusive 3 wire connector in the passenger footwell. I have read the article in the tech tips section about how to get around this problem, but I was wondering if I could splice into the wiring harness that goes into the back of the radio. The C1/C2 connector carries the orange "hot" wire and the black/white ground wire, as well as the dark green "signal" wire. Can I splice in here, which would be easier, or must the "signal" wire be picked up in the passenger footwell for some reason? I don't have a schematic, so I don't know if the signal wire goes directly from the radio to the harness, or passes thru something else, like the BCM. Can somebody please help me out?
