Sub and Box Question?

Sub and Box Question?
I'm building a dual 10 sub box for the back of a 90. It will be 2 different chambers for the subs but one long box. Do you have to center the sub in the box? I need room in the center to mount the amp and if I center them to the boxes I will not have enough room.
