hehehe, well you should be happy it "throws" the bass at the hatch.. You're probably getting about a +6db gain on it alone. Acoustics in a vette arent great in general, but worse if you have a vert. Ive had both. The gain you get on your back glass will only serve as more help. If you dont believe me, open up your hatch, sit in it, play some Music, and wonder why your bottom end sound has been cut iin half.
So, we like throwing bass at out hatches, its extra natural resonant gain off the interior. We NEED it. But, if you want to know how it will sound, just buy a 8" or 10" sub of your favorite brand, make a box the same size as the one Subthump is offering, put your sub in. And listen to it. TA DAAAH!
Also, in conjunction with installation of this box, I EXREMELY suggest padding the interior of the well with either brown bread, dynamat, polly fill- SOMETHING... You'll get tired of hearing your exhaust thru it real quick. Even with a box in the well, you need insulation. TRUST ME ON THIS.

Well, im happy to suggest things that will get ya in trouble!
But personally, Ive always hated anything by MTX. Ive just never seen any new, inovative stuff from MTX. They seem just to copy the competition, even naming some of their subs the same verisons as their comptetors. However, there new 36" subwoofer is pretty cool, but totally impracticle, well, which I sort of like. There is a couple of ways to tackle the storage compartment - MDF box, Fiberglass well mold, Sealing the well and mounting a sub, and really all have thier good points and bad points. But show us pix of what you do!
