I'm installing a CDA 9830 Alpine head unit and want to replace the front speakers. What are the best ones to use and does someone make a conversion bracket.

Speakers....match the speakers to your power output. Mounts..there are some members that make them for sale including myself but if you are handy with wood you can make a set yourself out of 1/4" mdf or hardboard. Personally I make mine out of aluminum.
I dunno, I think im getting better tho, I only yell at people once a week for putting up stupid messages because they either didnt search or didnt read the sticky FAQ. Im getting my anger under contol finally

What year do you have? I just ordered some cdt components (just the 2 ways). The best type to get are 3 way components (iif you have a c5 you can go with 6.5", 4" and a tweeter) focal are supposed to be really good, though i haven't heard them for myself. cdt's are supposed to be good too and you can get 3 way components. the jl's are good bang for the buck.
I think mike; the guy who makes the custom vinyl stripes and stealth sub boxes, sells mounting plates but if you have some mdf and a jig saw you can just trace out a pattern and cut the plates for yourself.
hope this helps or gets you pointed in the right direction.
Thanks to you all for your suggestions. I think with your help I can now make the adapters and do the install with little trouble. I have decided to go with Component speakers (Infinity Reference 6000cs). and now that I have seen the brackets I can make them. Thanks again
