I have taken a red C4 and painted it black w/ spray paint turned out pretty good, now I taped it off to put a Grand Sport stripe on it and the white paint spyder cracked. I sanded the stripe part back down and tried to do it again, same result .What is the best way to get this stripe paint off and to a smooth finish ????????

Are you using the same brand of paint? What type of spray paint are you using(Testors, automotive, etc)?
