Interesting results on the backing plates - using mica shims is sounding like a great idea.
I love the shim idea. having a heat sink for the pads is a great idea. can anyone think of any safety concerns with having the two extra items inside the caliper?

just did this tonight, I run widen C5 z06 wheels in the rear and 10.5" upfront test fit them over my 355 Brembos, did not fit without a spacer

You be surprised how good the stock calipers are.

Race brake pads, and new rotors every few events.

Castrol SRF brake fluid every event

and toss and replace the calipers every winter ( off Season )

can stop so hard the car almost does a motorcycle stoppie.

that being said BBK equipment will last much longer.
