Default AS question

Later year model C6Zs came with 19x10 front wheels, does that mean any year model can run an 18x10 front?

There is no update/backdate in street, so you would need to have a year that it was an option for.

Keep in mind I think that option came with the 20" rear wheel which would limit you to a 19" rear.

I also don't recall hearing definitively if that was a factory option or dealer option.

From page 64 of the SCCA Solo rule book:

Any type wheel may be used provided it complies with the following:
A. It is the same width as standard and as installed it does not have an offset more than ±7.00 mm (±0.275”) from a standard wheel for the car. The resultant change in track dimensions is allowed.
B. Wheel (rim) diameter may be increased or decreased 1” from the standard part. This change may be applied to the front, rear, or both axles.

This is relevant for your car's specific model, and is relevant to wheel sizes that were offered as either standard or as an option from the OEM. If we're talking C6 terms, this would be acceptable from 2005 to 2013, and I doubt any region would not allow what you're proposing.

Does that also apply to steering wheels or do they fall under comfort and convenience? i.e. in 2011 the carbon edition came with a suede version as did the 2012 centennial.
