Default hypereutectic pistons ??

Continuing my LT1 build...I thought I read on here somewhere that these hyper pistons were not preferred, but i can not find the thread. Would these pistons be OK and a 1970 LT-1 build?

Also, shoping for the camshaft would there be any benefit to buying an original OE cam verses a vintage muscle car camshaft from anyone else?

thanks in advance.

The early hypereutectic pistons had some quality and consistency problems, and we've seen them come apart on dyno runs. I've used a few sets in recent engines, with good success. But given the option on a hi perf engine, spend the bucks on a nice set of forged pistons: They're generally lighter, and they don't come apart...
