I wonder how it is anchored? Anyone else do something similar? Only 2 seats can be a draw back at times. I almost bought a 69 camaro convertible instead of the vettes for the same reason. Thoughts on any legality issues?

Hah! I remember that ad in Motor Trend or Road&Track. I wonder if money could be made making those babies? Thanks for the Flashback!

The product liability is enormous.
I have had several people ask me to sew seat belts like mine for their c2s, but all I will do is sell them the buckles and tell them where I got the materials. It would only take one lawsuit to wipe out my retirement.

It is neat, but today I think a more useful seat would actually be some sort of installation rack for a child seat to strap to, since I think it is illegal to for kids small enough to fit into the back of a coupe to ride in any car w/o a child seat

Back when I was a kid, our '66 427/425 was our Mom's grocery getter. We went grocery shopping, to and from school, hit garage sales and probably took in way more than our fair share of 'blue light specials' at Kmart. During all of these trips, there was a minimum of two of us in the back, and more often it was three or four of us.
Ah, the good old days. I think about them often, especially when I am strapping our kids into their 5-point harnessed child safety seats, which are seat belted and tether strapped to the seats in the back of the Wife's mini-van.
