Thanks for the encouraging words. Removing the cluster again isn't a big issue. I've actualluy had it out twice this week. I really have to make a concerted effort to learn how to post pictures. Maybe one my my neighbors kids can try to show me this week. Thanks again Jeff.

I took a few digital pictures tonight, but my computer is an old pentium II and doesn't have the capability of adding the software to download directly from the camera. I'll try using my computer at work tomorrow. In the meantime, I will try to attach a few pictures of my car that were downloaded from a disc about a year ago.

Here is the pic of the Mystery Wire, for those of you that don't have a 62" monitor.

The spade terminal that the BLACK cluster ground wire connects to is under a screw just above the tachometer; if the cluster isn't grounded, the lighter and wipers won't work either.

I don't even have that connector on the cluster. I think that the old cluster was grounded on the cross member behind the fuel gauge. Can you buy that type of connector? It look easy enough to attach.
Something happened when I log on to this forum. If I want to reply or start a new thread,it now looks different. I now have to scroll across to the right before I can type. I must have done something wrong when I was trying to post picture last night. How do I get back to normal?

I can explain that, I believe.

In this thread you posted pictures that were very wide. So now when you reply to this thread, the Reply text box is centered in the screen - but the screen is much wider than normal because it includes those pictures. If you scroll down in your browser window while you are replying to this thread, you'll see your pictures down there making everything bigger.

To work around that, resize your pictures to 800x600 before you post them. I use PaintShop Pro, there are other applications to resize photos though.
