VTWINKURT, If someday you decide to put your master cyl. back under the hood, I bought a dual master cylinder with a booster for my 1960 from these people. They have different models, [cad. plated or all chrome]. Also different bore dia. Saw a article a couple of years ago in a Corvette mag. about this conversion , called up ordered it and I like it. Not a universal fit type , its made for a Corvettes.
I have been searching the past posts but find very little on what other spindles or disks will fit from other GM cars. One post says that most passenger cars from 1937 thru 1962 fit but I want disks. I see the C-2 guys use C-3 parts but what do we use without breaking the bank and looking modern?
you can use your existing spindles & hubs to add C2 rotors, but you must have a adapter plate to mount the calipers.

Bill,
I believe you also need to use wheels that will clear the C2/C3 calipers. Which is harder to do than most disc brake conversions. My AR TTDs would not clear your calipers, but work fine on my disk brake conversion (which is essentially the same as the Master Power, ECI, etc. conversions).

Are your dics brake calipers(i.e. master Power, ECI, etc.) adaptable to C/C3 rotors? ...so that wheels like the ART TD's "would" fit.
I am dealing with a similar situation on C4 12" rotors and calipers...as per another thread I started.

Stan,
Agree with Bill, why use C2/C3 rotors? See other thread for one of my answers. It would be better off knowing your application.
I have no knowledge if my calipers would fit to a C2/C3 rotors. I would look at Master Power or ECI to see what brake kits they offer for early C2s.
Bill might be able to tell you if his C2 rotors had the same offset as his "new" brakes, but he would need to:
A. Find his C2 rotors, and
B. Measure both them and his current units. And
C. I don't know if he knows what rotors he has now?
My apologies to vtwinkurt..Ireally didn't mean to side track his thread.
Bill, John these questions are answered on the thread inquiring about C4 dimensions....I just thought that there might be a way to reduce the caliper dimensions on a C4 setup using some of the parts mentioned above...

That was not the question (I know they "fit" - nicely or otherwise).
What is the offset difference between them and what you have now, and do you know where your C2 rotors are (so you could measure them for Stan)?
That would be nice if it's handy Bill...but I'll find some documentation if its a pia...no worries.
I think that the distance from the rotor hub face to the caliper may be the biggest issue...?? Where the center part of the wheel drops down is what will hit the caliper.
They make a wheel blank that has a narrow drop down section..I'm hoping I can have the wheel center moved toward the outside to achieve the back space needed...but still not hit the caliper with the drop down center portion of the wheel.

Hmm.
So, the spindle from a 55-57 Belair would be the same design as the '62 Corvette? (for example)
So as long as I could make a bracket to fit the caliper to the 2x2-bolt Corvette spindle carrier (as opposed to the 1-top&2-bottom passenger car carrier), might this Wilwood conversion with new hub fit the Corvette too?
