I have a 1965 327/365, Holley performer carb, stock HP manifold ( winters logo on front) I just had my single point distributer reworked by Lars, superb job. Should I now plumb a PCV line in which does not currently exist, if so where. My manifold has a plug in the rear behind the carb, and the Holley has a PCV port. The filler tube has a port, where should that go.
Thanks for your input. This explains how to plumb what I currently have. I have read alot here about the positive aspects of having a PCV valve in an engine such as mine. Since mine does not currently employe one, should I plumb one in in some manner, and if so has anyone retrofitted one who could tell me how it goes. I also read alot on LARS install instructions regarding manifold advance verses ported advance. I have both ports on my carb, should i use manifold vaccum as my advance. I have an adjustable timing light and can time it o.k. Just trying to get the best possible set up with what I have

I'm not sure I follow the question - when you say "could tell me how it goes" do you mean "could tell me how it is working out" or do you mean "could tell me how to plumb it"?

Honestly, I'd do whatever Lars says, he really knows his stuff. My 65 with the 327/350 horse engine, and Holley 2818 carb, gets the vacuum advance vacuum off the side of the front carb metering block, as was originally configured from the factory. I haven't recently read Lars' paper to know if my car meets with his recommendations.
Your Holley Performer carb doesn't have the hole in the driver's side of the main body for the original 90* fitting - only the 2818 had it. Instead, use a '66 or '67 oil fill tube with a threaded bung in it, a '67 PCV valve that screws into the bung, and a PCV hose from the valve to the PCV port on your baseplate, like Paul67's photo above. That was the production setup for '66-'67.
Yeah I may have confused some here with my question as it was posed, but John Z gave me the answer that I was looking for, I'll get a 67 Oil fill tube, thanks to all who take their time to read and help dummies like me.
