Is replacing the chrome windshield molding a tough job?
I got to noticing this weekend that the front and back moulding on my 67 coupe is really looking dull. I tried to polish it out some but I think it probably is the original and needs new. Is this something that is pretty easy? Thanks in advance.

My experience with it ranged from not easy to *&^% *&%$$^!!! The only thing that was harder than getting it off, was getting it back on. I however, had my glass out. If you leave the glass alone, it will be easier to install.
I would polish the original trim before using reproduction, due to fitting issues.

If found the one on the right to be a better tool for removing the W/S trim. The red handled one was to thick and I had a hard time locating the clips with it.

Dugkota,
Likely the most difficult job I have performed on my C2. Had a proffesional take the trim off, but he was unwilling to reaasemble. If new clips are required, windshield must come out (my case). Reassembly is a combination of test fitting, perfect allignment, proper use of sealant, one chance at snapping trim back in place and careful cleanup.

No need to remove it unless it's dented.
Scratches and dulling will sand out (wet) using up to 2000 grit.
Then use a drill-mounted polishing wheel with stainless compound and it'll look like new. Mask off the paint and glass of course.
