Default C4 Split Window

Seems like another new player in the resto rod business. They seem to have a new approach doing the C4 conversion. They basically just re-body an old C4 with even older C2 body.

Tadaa!

Their interior is also "interesting" mix of new and old.

Here's the finished car.

Those EvoD knock off style wheels look too big in 20"(this coming from a guy who's all about big wheels ), I wish they would have stayed with 18" and finished the wheels with stock style colors and finishes and used some red line tires.

Interesting car.

They can trash the 20's and I don't like 18's either. I do like the car I like a mix of old and new. Greg

Gotta find somethign to do with those C4s, I guess. Looks as good as any solution to me.

I do think vertical vents '65-'67 would look better on the fenders than teh 63/64 style. Just my opinion.

Interesting and looks like a lot of work but the dash ain't makin it for me.

Probably would be cheaper and the end result more rigid to go with something like an SRIII or StreetShop chassis and drop an LT or LS one motor than all that work and retro fitting. IMHO

That is a Restomod of an old body style, but a Retromod of a C4, so use of any wheel size/style and tire combination from modern to old is acceptable since it can be view as either one to the non purist community.

They just need to go with 28" tall 295/45/18 on the rear. That would do away with the rubber band look as they add 2.0 + " of rubber in place of 2.0" of rim, so you still get their current Pro Touring stance look with more rubber and less rim and about the same amount of rubber on fronts by using 245/45/17.

245/45/18 on wheels like Mikey has on his car, but AR Shellby's custom cut for more exposed hoop. Since they have Shellby cast in, they are on a 70 Mustang.

I'm sure different choice of wheels and tires combinations are a customer option.

If you don't like my choice of wheels and tire size for car, make sure to let me know when my 64 is finished
....

By the way, I'm not a fan of rubber band tires either, but had you been at SEMA you would have seem some real true rubber band tires displayed on all types of car that too me made the cars look terrible.

Ever 2010 Camaro and Challenger there all had 1.0" tall rubber wrapped around 22+ inch tall rims on them. Those are just made for the cute Pothole in commercial to destroy...

I saw a couple of similar cars on Mecum go for some big bucks. With the car manufacturers doing all of these retro cars lately, I think it would cool if GM would do a similar body style on the new vette. Maybe a limited addition, like put a c1 or c2 style body on the Z06 or somithing. I think people would love that.

The car is featured in the February issue of Corvette Fever. Based on the pictures it looks interesting with the exception of the wheel size as many have mentioned. I like the style of wheel though and have always loved that silver and red combination.

I also thought the same thing regarding the dash even though they tried to incorporate the mid-year eyebrows. I would imagine that their reasoning was to reduce the amount of conversion of the dash by retaining the electronics.

It's always interesting to see the different approaches people take to these projects.

Looks interesting, but the dash and wheels have got to go.

I just don't like the big diameter or wierd C4 offset wheels on a C2 (or C3 for that matter).

Not bad in pictures. If you don't look too close, it looks a lot like my real silver/red 63.

Cant imagine how much cowl shake it will have without a top on the c4 chassis. Does the fiberglass have a birdcage?

The body conversion makes for the best-looking C4 I've seen. No way I could get used to the dash, however.

Everything look great except the dash and wheels.Should have used a period correct dash and maybe 16" wheels to fill the bill.
