Wow, I pretty much just put what's in my signature into a word doc and printed it out on a standard piece of paper and stuck it under my wiper blade

Just the basic info. I keep it under the wipers so the wind won't blow it over and nobody will trip over it. One less thing to haul around. I usually get a new one every week.

If you are in a hurry like I was, and need a car show placard that can adapt to your upgrades for a modest fee, then Fedex Kinkos may be an option for you. It cost me about a bill, is light weight and laminated, and I had it in less than 8 hours after emailing them a powerpoint document of what I wanted it to look like.

This is the proof of one I have been using for the last few years. Short, sweet and to the point. I just attach it to the windshield with some tape and don't have to worry about it flying off if the wind picks up.

Yeah, if you don't have much to show, that's the way to go.

I like seeing and reading others information boards but don't have or use one for my Corvette because I like talking to people. I like the one on one talking. Because I've made good friends that way and gotten info about other Corvette for sale or parts. I see many people stop and read signs then move on thinking the owner doesn't wont to talk and be ask questions.

Actually. It's going to spend more time on the wall in my office.

Roy; I almost have the car dried out. When I got home from your house I looked at the news. I was driving through a tornado between Yuba City and the Feather River canyon.

Transmission works perfect not a drop of oil on the floor. Thanks again Bob

I use the board to weed out people who are not interested in modified vetts. After reading my board the ones that are interested come up to me and ask, for example "A Heidt's Superide IRS Rearend? How did you do that?" Then we get talking for hours.

This is quite funny you say this because I love graphics, photography and appreciate all those great looking signs. But I think the signs are An attention getter, a conversation starter, and also for those who may not wish to stand and talk with someone. Sometimes, it is difficult to break away from a "talker".

I also got some great ideas at the last car show I was at and went to work on it myself. I designed my own "Car Show" post cards with a photo of my car, some specs, and the reverse had more detailed information. I gave these out to all the kids who came by and I probabaly gave away at least 100+ 4" x 6" post cards. I even had three little ones ask for my autograph.

I often wondered why people put photos of the car on the board, as you are already looking at the car as its on display. My board has on the information of the specifics of the car and restoration dates. No photos. Guess that's just my way of looking at things....

Here is what mine looks like:

Used the KISS principle when I put card together... I wanted the car to speak for itself, not a board full of photos...

It is a nice way to show off a stylized photo or points of interest on the car right out in front of the car, especially if the photo was featured in a magazine.
