Antenna cable.Where to place the grommet in the left rear wheel well?
When drilling a hole to the grommet i want it to be in the right place.
My car have a radio but no antenna cable from the radio to the antenna.
Can sombody post a picture of where the grommet is placed in the left rear wheel well?

I have to go out to the garage and have a look again
You access it from the left rear wheel well? I got to take the wheel off because i cant see it with wheel on the car.
I thought it was down besides the metal plate(body bolts)in front of the rear wheel. I am wrong there i see.

Thanks a lot. The picture is taken right under where the antenna mount to the body and you have to take off the left rear wheel to access it?

Yes, I stuck my camera under there and shot the picture. The grommet you can see is in the bulkhead which separates the left rear corner of the rear interior compartment, from the outside world. The grommet MAY be in backwards. I think the grommet is supposed to be installed from the interior side of the car. Either way your AIM should show the details.

See your Assembly Manual, section U69, sheet 4.00, and UPC 12, sheet C5, item #1; the main wire harness and the antenna cable use the same grommet at the lower outboard corner of the vertical rear bulkhead.

The attached pic shows the location of the grommet in question from inside the car (65 coupe in this case). As Jeff indicated above, it's a two-hole grommet for the cable and the harness. If you get a new one, just use a good razor blade and make clean cuts in from the edge to the holes to slip the wires into the grommet.

here's a shot off my late '65. Looks like grommet was installed from the rear (agrees with the bevel edge in Dave Z's pic). View is looking up vertically; you can see the antenna hole on the rear deck.
