The 67 B/U light is fugly. As much as I like to keep a car original, I would seriously think about removing it if I were painting another one.

Agreed, As with you and your quotes, I agree, the 67 backup light is fugly and I would never ever install one. As a mater of fact, if the 64 came with that light I would go through the effort to pull it out and glass in the panel. If I had a 67 it would probably stay as it was origonal...
Hi Ray, cool post and get the joke. NOW you have me rethinking the whole taillight thing . I don't think anyone has ever installed Pre L pantera taillights on a C2. That would look cool, but you posted way to late. I would have to destroy the paint and the fiberglass to do that. Sorry, I'm just to lazy...
Ron, just stick to this and fugget about it! That's Ron on a tricycle!
Sorry Dokk, it was raining that day in San Mateo. That is indded me, I rembembere that. After the show we got to ride those bikes. Dokk was insane, he was spinning 360s on 92.
I was trying to figure out why the trike was reversed. As a two yaer old my trike one wheel in the front. Having said that, I wiil just ride my buell engine harley and lean...

A repaint is easy and Fly Yellow is always available. Hey Ron, my running and bicycling has taken me down to a somewhat lean 183 lbs but I fear that my 6' 1" frame still cannot fit into a Pantera. I still continue to look, however ....
Raimondo/American-Italian Hybrid (maybe I can get a deal on a Bizzarini ....)
Hmmmm..... If chevrolet had originally built all the C-2's with six tail lights, I wonder how many of the "4 looks better" crowd would have removed two of 'em?.......

I originally did it as an easy way to fill my exhaust holes after adding sidepipes, without having to match 33 year old "patina" paint... ended up liking it so much, that even after the car was totaled in an accident, and I had to replace the rear valence, I still bought one with the exhaust holes.....

Just a thought for the thread poster. Why don't you do a proper poll so the results could be clearly seen, as a piggy back to this one. It's pretty easy to do, with instructions at the bottom of the new thread page. It's a pain to try and count the results without it.

Obviously styling experts went through this before the C2 was released. Looks like 4 tail lights won the decision. So much so, that the 67 received it's back up light in rectangular form.
I would pick option A. It does look like the old Impala configuration. Never could figure out why the 6 tail lights were not carried over from the Impala.
I love the look of the 6 reds, but then there is the inspection issue.
I do not think I would be able to get an inspection sticker without backup lights
I will say, when I was a teenager back in the 70s.
My dream C2 was a coupe and it had 6 tail lights, wide well done flairs and 4 into 1 black side pipes. If you have one? Gotta have em all! Let's not forget the aluminum slots.

That is a perfect description of my first Corvette back in 1973. 64 coupe, LT-1 4 speed, flairs, Thrush sidepipes and U.S. slotted mags.
