Turned 67 in July. Bought the car in 1979 and it has been a never ending project since then. It sure is a hell of a lot harder climbing out from under the car these days. Oh well, its better than the alternative. Got another project going now.

Wow, this is fun thanks guys!
I am pleasantly surprised that almost 25% of respondents are under 50, if those are actual C1/C2 owners, I feel better about the future of our hobby.
Also surprised that almost the same percentage are over 65? I would have thought that the drop-off would have occurred at about 65, also gives me hope for the future, my own future that is.

The last Sting Ray was built some 13 years before I was born. 32 years old here. This is an interesting thread, I would have thought there would be a few more fellows under 40 than there are but in general the distribution seems to be about what I'd expect.
I like that the general consensus is YOUNG AT HEART, gives me a good vibe for my next 35 years of Corvette craziness...

I would have thought the same thing (with regard to ".....more fellows under 40 ...."). Interesting curve, age vs. percentage owned vs. probable disposable income vs. diminished or increased interest in this vintage and model of car.
Someone once told me that as time goes on, those who lusted for a particular car pass away and the cars lose value. Maybe but there seem to be a lot of exceptions to that when it comes to performance cars.

Will turn 80 Dec.31. We bought our 64 in June 1970. We still have it. Our 4 sons and daughter learned to drive in it. They all drove it to there senior proms, now our grand and great grand children are driving our 64.
