Can any here post pictures of the AC compressor brackets?
On my 64 coupe i have headers and no holes on the heads for attaching brackets
The engine in my car looks like the one on the picture to the right with no holes in the heads to fasten any brackets so does the AC compressor front brackets mount to the 2 right hand side bolts on the water pump(marked with red arrows)as marked with red arrows on the picture of the AC compressor brackets to the right?

Thanks John Do i use the same bolts for attaching the front AC compressor bracket or do i need longer bolts for the front bracket?
Also is the hole on the front bracket marked with a red arrow where the compressor tightens the belt?(so when this is attached on the engine the 2 red arrows will be on the same place)

Look at the illustrations in the Assembly Manual - any bolt that has an item number and part number called out is a new bolt; any bolt that does NOT have an item number or part number called out is an existing bolt, part of the engine from the engine plant.

Hopefully your brackets came from GM. Mine came from china via Ecklers. nothing matched up - waterpump portion of the bracket didnt line up with the other half of the brackets that holds the compressor. the compressor bracket holes didnt line up with the block/exhaust manifold holes.

rgbau140. Where did you buy your brackets for the AC compressor? PM me the answer so i do not buy from the same place
I found the part numbers of the bolts, washers and nuts used to attach the AC compressor in the assembly manual
Is is not so easy to see what is written in the assembly manuals because i think that the vendors that sells the manual have their own version of it
I only miss the front bracket and the side bracket for the AC compressor
I have headers on my car so i can not use the side bracket.
I have the green brackets shown on the diagram
But if i can not use the side bracket because i have headers i wonder if the water pump bolts holds the front bracket enough?
Looking at the diagram the front bracket looks to be attached to the side bracket with one bolt
Also the bolt on the front bracket closest to the compressor is the bolt you tighten when the belt is tight right?

You will need the yellow bracket, you should be able to make spacers to mount the bracket they just need to be the difference between the thickness of your header flange and an original manifold.

The attached PDF shows some shots of the brackets in my 65 AC coupe. The motor is a 2002 GM 350 crate engine. Try as I might I cannot get a good shot of the bracket that mounts to the manifold for you. Things are mighty tight in this area. Hint: put new spark plugs in before you button up the AC install.
Hope these are of some help to you.
Good luck with your project!

Roger:
You have to support the rear of the compressor, in my opinion.
It would probably help if we had a photo of your header configuration. I'm thinking the tubes probably make it impossible to use the standard long bracket.
But you should be able to have custom front and rear brackets machined from aluminum. If there's room for the compressor, then there should be room for two small brackets to hold the 2 pivot points.
You would still use the small triangle bracket that bolts onto the rear housing of the compressor.
Should be able to come up with a solution with a little engineering.
