Default 1963?

Road & Track recently posted an article of "The 51 Coolest Cars of the last 50 Years." Clearly they don't know their midyears that well.

You can just make out the Bigblock hood bulge and also see the Bigblock fender emblem. 66's also had an emblem on the front drivers corner of the hood. No roof indentations/vents on a 66 Coupe.

no vertical stainless trim on front of door post. Knock off wheels, no raised pad for outside door handle, etc.

Typical yuppie mag article. "Tame one and you're a man". Really? If the author drove my 61 he'd faint dead away. Damn "Nancy boy!"

How the hell can you 'see' that it does not have raised door handle pad?

You got a 'zoom' feature???

well yes actually. So do you. Hit the Ctrl and "+" keys at the same time as much as you want. Ctrl and "-" reverses the zoom.

Try CTRL and your mouse scroll wheel - it's easier.

The most fundemental error I see is that they say "Stingray" instead of "Sting Ray" in the caption. If they'd just said "Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray" they'd have nailed it!

Road & Track seems to have had a problem with American sports cars since the '50s. Corvette? Cobra? Mustang? Viper? Always something negative in the tests.

There must be an oath for new writers: "Thou shalt never speak unkindly of a Porsche."

Steve
That error happens waaaaaaay too much in print and on the 'Net.

PS: it's an epidemic... https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...294-c2-c3.html
