Your car was built dec 24 1962. AC was first seen in April of 63. And with the ECL code being C I will say the AC was added in the past. If you post pictures of the engine brackets we can see if they used 63 only parts or not

Someone went to a lot of trouble to put the air duct above the radio. That came with factory air cars, not to say yours is factory air, but the duct came from a factory air car I believe.

Completely agree, but there is dignity in living another day to fight again some times.

You've got a nice car! Enjoy it. When I bought mine
all my friends and family said I was crazy to spend all that money on a car. That was in 1989 and I've had years of enjoyment that cant be replaced.
Enjoy your car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remember that many of us have an insatiable curiosity about original cars, so you may see some odd questions. Please be patient with us.

As for the lady in the picture, I would say both 1963 and 1967 were very good years for you.

Congrats.

We really do want to see pictures of the trim tag. We all learn so much from the old original cars.

Well stated Edward. Beautiful car regardless of a/c correct or not. The wheels are such a nice add as well. May you and your wife enjoy it.

The OP shouldn't let the trolls get him too fizzed up. When my SWC debuted on here - it went through the ringer too.

Door fit sucked, job number on splash shield fake, and, a number of other 'hits'.... Some criticism was correct, some total fabricated BS, including some here 'calling out' the forum member that sold it to me about some of its originality.

Got to the point I had the moderators delete the entire thread.

The OP has a beautiful car, beautiful wife and seems to appreciate both - good for him

I don't see any bad thoughts on here. Just truth and facts. If someone is upset that factory AC was added then those people need to do homework and read up. It's a great looking car. Someone just got carried away when they restored it. I don't fault anyone it's very easy to do so when you have a car blown apart

I just wish my Vintage Air A/C looked as factory as the car in this thread....

I think he may have an engineering prototype for air conditioning installation.

It is as good of a guess as any other idea I have heard.

Don't delete the thread. too much good info here.

Would love to see pictures of the underhood area, especially the A/C installation.

Would be nice to see these, but that is the OP's option.
