The funny thing about these, "...should I drive it or trailer it ?" threads is that they are self-answering. If you're nervous enough about driving your new purchase close to 1,000 miles home so that you come on here and ask for advice from strangers on the topic...then you're prob too nervous to be doing the drive in the first place.

Trailer it, be at peace, and have your adventures near to home within the 150 mile AAA towing limit - then it's all good...

A few years ago, I bought a 25 year old Jaguar in NC, and drove it home (at the time) to Western PA. I used 31 quarts of oil (no kidding), and lots of power steering fluid, automatic transmission fluid, and other multi colored fluids. It was quite the adventure, wondering what else could surprise me on the trip. Just saying .............

Rent a trailer and enjoy the trip both ways.

You will enjoy it much more while still having the Corvette right behind you.

Once you get it home, you can then check it out and take that 1000 mile trip if that's what you want to do.
