That's great! Congratulations on gathering your father's past cars. He sure had some nice rides!

My Dad had a '66 Fairlane...I slammed the door too hard one day and the rusted out rain gutter came loose....as the door itself bounced back from the striker and dropped two inches. A complete rust-out...
Really nice to see a car collection handed down like that...

The '91 Escort was Dad's last car. The first one's I remember were a black '59 Peugeot 403 sedan and a chalkboard faded red Renault Dauphine.....like a '56 or so. Both had been shipped back from France after his military service was concluded. The first swearing/cussing I ever heard was as a 2 year old when the shifter of the Renault came off in dad's hand as we were trying to pull away from the curb. I vaguely remember one of the doors being tied shut with a rope.....even as a tot, I knew it was an inferior product. It blew a head gasket going up the Caldecott Tunnel grade in Oakland, and he got $75 for it on a trade in for a brand new '63 VW Beetle, red with a sunfroof. THAT was a 'cool' car.

My Dad's last car was a '86 Mustang GT convertible that he bought new as a retirement present to himself and kept for 20+ years. My sister has it now, still only about 60k miles on it.
Dad's first car after he got back from the Navy in WWII was a Renault 2(?) CV that he bought once he could afford a new car. Apparently I came home from the hospital in it. I don't remember it - obviously -, but from the stories I heard it was a similar piece of cr@p, and was soon replaced with a 1950 Ford 2 dr coupe - and then a succession of Fords over the years...........
