Thanks Jack. Sounds like that will work. I have till spring to get this done so hopefully the Knoch experts will offer their tips as well. Cheers, Bill

This is a set of your door panels and seat covers from ~1977 (older than I am), still looking good. I want to return the seats to original vinyl (now leather) and replace the original foam. Seat cover install video would be most helpful!

I had my hardtop on when I took the car to have the soft top installed.
I had to leave the top down until I got home. My fault, I didn't get it back up soon enough
and have never been able to latch it back up.
You have helped before, but, I can't get it done.
What are all the ways to get this to stretch and fit?

Heat is your friend for stretching vinyl. Don't bother in the winter....wait for a hot sunny day and put it outside for a few hours. Latch the back first and it should stretch back to how it was when it was installed. If you need more, a buddy and two hairdryers used gingerly should help it.
Oh.....and leave it up in the winter to avoid it happening again. Mine goes down in the spring and hopefully doesn't go back up until I put it away. Topless all the way!.

HEAT is PARAMOUNT. It is POINTLESS to attempt to latch the top if it is cold.

I do know that if you get the vinyl so hot that you can not touch it...you are getting it too hot. And that is from one of Al's top videos I have.
