I'm willing to bet that proportionally, a higher percentage of the powerglide cars produced survive than the stick cars, and a higher percentage have their born with engines. In years of collecting musclecars, may experience has been that the 4 speed and high horsepower cars are usually the ones that get thrashed, wrecked, and blown up. All my automatic GTO's had original engines, NONE of my 4 speed GTO's or Mopars did. People who bought automatic C2's back in the day were a more mature, laid back group who enjoyed the style and class of the car over burning rubber. Most cream-puff original cars I've seen in the past are bread and butter automatics.

My original question was "How Many PG Cars Survived"?
I am working on 1963 then on to 1964 ...
About 10% of all C2 corvettes were Powerglide equipped so there was/is a strong bias towards manual transmissions. I wanted to know if the original units survived as they gained a second life for collector units or were ditched for manual transmissions. By comparing the original production numbers to a sample of the population I am hoping to get an answer.
